Small Business Owner... You are not alone!
As an independent small business owner, even with a staff and clients/prospects you may still feel that you are all alone. In my experience, many small business owners have this "alone" feeling. I recommend that you take action steps to get rid of this feeling as it can be detrimental to your growth and success.
The following are several action items you can take to overcome this "alone" feeling.
Feeling or actually being alone is a poor choice; it allows for the "feeling sorry for yourself" syndrome. Try a few of the suggested and see how much better you will feel.

It is easy to dodge our responsibilities, but we cannot dodge the consequences of our responsibilities.
The following are several action items you can take to overcome this "alone" feeling.
- Attend workshops in your field of work
- Get involved with small business groups
- Participate in you local chamber of Commerce. If they don't have a small business group, volunteer to head one up.
- Attend trade fairs that feature tools that you use in your business. May include technology, software, etc. that are common to many small businesses. This is a great place to meet and mingle with other small business owners.
- Attend small business educational seminars at your local university or community college
- Participate as an exhibitor when the opportunity arises. There are many different types of exhibits that will allow you to participate.
- Attend motivational seminars
- Never be afraid to seek out a mentor to walk besides you
