Creating Advantages

" Unless companies have a clear vision about how they are going to be distinctly different and unique, offering something different than their rivals , they are going to get eaten alive by the intensity of competition." " It's not just a matter of being better at what you do -- it's a matter of being different at what you do."

With that said, how do you actually reshape and redefine your industry? This is a challenge that every business owner has to address. Without solutions to this question, you will continue to struggle in the job you created for yourself ( your business) and perhaps wonder why you never get ahead.

The current economic uncertainty  adds another dimension and that, along with the growth of smart phones, tablets and other, rapidly changing  technical advances, is changing the attitude of the consumer.

Small business owners have to be one step ahead of the  cutting edge of trends, both in  consumer wishes and methods of fulfilling those wishes.

The quality of the product or service has to continually be improving and the delivery process has to be accelerated. Perhaps there is a growing trend for instant gratification on the part of the consumer. Unfortunately, as business owners, we have to spend many hours to define the unique  process that will satisfy our customers.

There are many parts to this issue, but a basic part is frequent and meaningful communications with your customers/clients.

You know the mechanics of your business, work with your coach to develop the unique delivery process required for success.
